Amy had me at smoosh. Her definition?
“A ‘smoosh’ is one of those naps during which you ‘smoosh’ your face into your pillow, and you wake up with lines all over your face from the pillowcase.”
I’m good at a lot of things. Naps being one of them.
Place me in a moving vehicle for longer than an hour? Zzzz….
Put me horizontal on a soft surface? *drool*
In fact, as I laid in bed the other morning I considered writing a strongly worded letter to my bed. In all it’s dual coil pillow top memory foam body pillow 600 thread count glory.
My stupid bed is so insanely comfortable it causes troubles.
I love to sleep in it.
It’s sooo comfy.
SLOTH! SIN! LAAAAZY.
And remember all the pillows involved with the sleeping we do in the house of moosh?
the house of moosh could easily become the house of slovenly smooshes.
Clean sheets, a soft blanket, a cool pillow, sunshine and a quiet house.
The recipe for the perfect moosh smoosh.
You?

Never could take naps until recently, too high strung. But, now that I’m getting old, I love me a nap on a weekend afternoon right after lunch, windows open, perhaps some subtle sounds of activity outside. Sounds good right about now, think I’ll take myself up on the offer.

My bed is verry comfy. It’s got a pillow top and a foam top and a few other things I threw in there for extra squishiness.
It’s not until I sit on other people’s firm, flat beds that I remember how comfortable mine is. And then I pity them – because how do they sleep at night?

I bought high thread count sheets in the spring. I cannot get over how much better it feels!

Clean sheets fresh from dryer, down comforter, myself from from shower, and rain against my window.

Fresh from shower. I’m not sure what from from shower means.

I’m all about the naps. I love them! The two older girls at school, the little one down for her nap, the house is quiet and all is good to go. And like you, the car knocks me out everytime.

I would love a nap. Unfortunately, my 3 year old and 14 month old have other plans.

That’s what I’m talkin’ about!!
Clean sheets, preferably freshly dried with a Downy sheet, a little fan for white noise, a rainy day and I’m out!

We have one of those insanely comfortable mattresses as well. Sometimes the hardest thing I do all day is get up out of that thing.

This post should be a children’s book because it’s a hell of a lot of fun to read out loud. “The moosh smoosh,” heeheehee

O my goodnight (or good morning or good afternoon) I cannot stay awake in a car unless I’m driving.

Ugh. I wish. I usually lay in bed for at least an hour before dozing to sleep. No matter how b’zausted I am. Even then, I wake at least 4 or 5 times a night to roll over, move the sheets, adjust my pillow, or check the time.

I could go for a smoosh RIGHT THIS MINUTE (and probably will).
