When I was 18 we had a house fire. The best advice we were given and the best thing I have to pass along is to advise them to get hire public adjuster, an advocate between them and the insurance company. David West saved us so much difficulty and helped my parents to understand their plan and to obtain/demand the FULL amount they were actually entitled to by the insurance company.

I’m so sorry to hear this. I love the way people are mobilizing around them so quickly, though. I read something on the facebook page about getting a company like SERVPRO to help with fire/water damage. If they’d like to look into that further, my husband has a close relationship with the branch here in Indy. We’d be happy to get in touch with them and see how they might be able to use their resources out there to help.
