Love Love Love your blog. Just found it tonight. I reside in Indy too – Greenwood actually. (about 15 minutes south of Indianapolis) We seem to have a ton in common (i.e., photography, falling down stairs, etc.) Ha ha!

I NEVER win anything! Unless you count 3 free karate lessons that some friends entered my name in as joke in the third grade at the local Pic-N-Save (a store that is about two notches below K-Mart)! Seriously, this has made my day!

Well, this confirms what my husband has been sying for a while now: I am the ONLY person in the world who doesn’t like popcorn. Although, if I were inclined to try it, the recipe with the chocolate sounds delicious!!

I’m smacking my lips at the thought of buttery garlic popcorn. That’s just genius. I’m an avid theater popcorn eater and so I often have time to sit and contemplate the state of popcorn and compare and contrast what’s out there.

And yes my life is as pathetic as it sounds.

Confession: I don’t like plain butter popcorn. I can do caramel or kettle, but plain old butter popcorn I cannot eat.

Why?

After 4 months of miserable HG and eating nothing, I finally got on a pill that allowed me to eat, and to celebrate I went to a movie (LOTR 1 to be specific) and I ordered a JUMBO bucket of popcorn intending to share. I SNARFED THE ENTIRE JUMBO HUGE DESIGNED FOR FOUR PEOPLE BOX ALL BY MY SELF. And I was rewarded with the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had in my life. Until you have repeatedly barfed popcorn through your sinus cavities and had to live with salty/buttery nastiness flavor inside of your face for three days until it wears off, you have not lived.

To this day, I can’t eat plain butter popcorn, which used to be my favorite, without wanting to retch. It has been 6 years.

I miss popcorn.
